Our 2005 event at Tazza Caffe, Downtown Providence, included special guests Anne Scurria, Brian Jones, Chris Turner & Rachel Maloney for an evening of stories, song and entertainment. Directed by Peter Sampieri.

The Providence Athenaeum actively supports the outreach efforts of Living Literature, which is listed in the Education Roster of the Rhode Island State Council of the Arts.

This exciting event raises funds mainly for our Literacy Workshops, Taking Literature from Page To Stage. Our past fundraisers have shared our unique collaborative process of storytelling with educators and students throughout Rhode Island.

Guest performers such as Tim Crowe, Barbara Meek, Brian Jones, and Anne Scurria graciously support our work by performing at our fundraisers.
