Akinola Oluwale Daramola Jr. is 19 years old and is the newest addition to the RHODESHOW! Ak is an Emcee, Producer, and Full-Time student at CCRI. We look forward to hearing the music he will be creating in the near future with us and sharing the stage with this talented young man. Akinola resides in East Providence but is originally from Pawtucket!
Amber Newmann is 17 years old and has also been a member of The Rhode Show since its conception. She began as a hip-hop dancer and has since then developed into a brilliant poet and spoken word artist. Amber resides in Cranston with her sister, Anjel and is also a graduate of Cranston East High School.
Andre Bradley Is an 20 year old organic intellectual and voracious reader who lives and works as a non-profit director in Providence RI. He has been a performing artists for more than ten years but has just recently began showcasing his hidden talents with the Rhodeshow. In the fall he will be attending Hampshire College in Amherst, Massacheusetts, where he was selected as a James Baldwin Scholar.
Anjel Newmann is 19 years old. She has been a member of The Rhode Show since its conception in 2002. Anjel began as a hip-hop dancer/choreographer and has since evolved into an emcee. She currently holds the position of Performance Arts Coordinator Apprentice.
David Gonzalez is 29 years old and has been the Performance Arts Coordinator for Broad Street Studio since 2004. David is a writer, emcee, and spoken word artist. His abilities also extend to recording and producing beats. David is originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., and presently resides in East Providence, Rhode Island.
Michelle Mancone is 18 years old. She joined The Rhode Show in 2006 and has since then developed into an amazing vocalist and poet. Michelle is a Rhode Island Native and lives in Providence with her mom and is also a graduate of Cranston East High School.
Randolph "R.I.P." Placide is 17 born and raised in Federal Hill, he is destined to be an alumni from Cranston High School East he came in as a dancer but evolved into a Hip-Hop artist. He has been with the Rhode Show for almost two years. He plans to acquire a master's degree in accounting from Johnson and Wales University.
Josh Vega is 18 years old and has been a member of The Rhode Show since early 2007. He is a talented dancer with influences in salsa and break dancing. Recently Josh has been experimenting with emceeing and spoken word. He is originally from Puerto Rico and now resides in Providence, Rhode Island where he attends the Met School.
