JUNE
Open House It's Free! Monday June 1st 6pm
Have questions, want to see the shop, meet the folks who use it, just want to spend some time with other printmakers? Our open houses happen the first Monday of every month. They are FREE! No money involved, we've posted it on the shop just in case you missed it. Each month two of our keymembers are present to run the show and you have the chance to make something in the shop too, a mini project. Drop by, and make a print!
If you would like to become a member of the shop, this is the time to bring some of your work by. The keymembers will chat with you about your prior printmaking experience and hopes and dreams for future printing. Then we sign you off to start printing or suggest that a class might be helpful if our practices dramatically differ from your previous shop experiences.
During this time we also offer orientations to the shop. We will cover basics of the AS220 shop, for example, our lighting and exposure system, rag and clean up procedures, sign up for shop time, ect. This is not an introduction to technique class, the purpose to run you through how the shop functions so that you may come and print.
