[tinysql] Problems with special characters

Hi,
this is an encoding problem. DBase is a rather old format and does not understand
unicode. DBase files contain a flag in the header defining which codepage is used
to encode the characters in the file.
If you aren't using a version from the cvs, you should upgrade, as it is
likely that the encoding problem is solved there. If the upgrade does not solve
the problem (or you are already using the latest version), then, arrrgghh, we will
have to investigate ...
Have more fun,

Passwords are like underwear: don't share them, hide them under
your keyboard, or hang them from your monitor. But above all, change
them frequently.

Subject: [tinysql] Problems with special characters
If have trouble reading special characters like ë and ï from the dbf file,
other programs read the same file fine.
Are there known problems about this and if not what else coulbe a reason why
this is happening ?
Thanks
