NYLO Hotels announces an art competition to find a few local artists  
to produce original artwork to adorn the corridors and guest rooms of  
their new hotel in Warwick, RI at Pontiac Mills. The hotel is located  
on the Pawtuxet River at the northeast corner of Greenwich Avenue and  
Knight Street. The contest is open to everyone and particularly we  
hope to attract the interests of up and coming local artists and art  
students. The contest will run through March 1, 2008.

The contest will have two major categories under which artwork may be  
submitted, guest rooms and corridor artwork. Guest room artwork  
should be composed of acrylic, oil or mixed media and the corridor  
category is reserved for photography. There are some restrictions on  
size and content, for a complete set of rules please contact Amanda  
Emmo at aemmo at nylohotels.com. Prizes for the winners varies from  
$2,250- $750. Several additional perks to winning include, but are  
not limited to, a gallery showing at Pontiac Mills across from the  
location of the hotel, a personal invitation to the opening part of  
NYLO at Warwick, artwork on display in the hotel and on the NYLO  
website with credit given to the artists and potential additional  
profit from sale of artwork.
