yeah, so another update about this...

you all know that we are screening this free documentary tomorrow night:

about this amazing czech band that is playing here in person next week:

** BUT WAIT - since the film tomorrow night is only 75 minutes long...
(showtime at 9:30 pm)... i've decided to also screen a live concert video
that i personally shot... this will be shown following the documentary.
(starting around 11pm) - also FREE, of course.

about this additional video: in 1989 in washington, dc i caught a live set
from the band PULNOC on my camcorder. the show was at dc space. this
band featured three of the main members of the plastic people and they played
several p.p.u. tracks. the live set is about 60 minutes long. and the quality
is shit on my hand-held vhs, but i think some folks might dig it -- it is
an original document of its time. never before seen outside of my house.
** remember: when this tape was shot, the berlin wall was still up and
czechoslovakia had not been split yet.

more about the band PULNOC:
http://www.furious.com/PERFECT/pulnoc.html

from that page:
"In April of 1989, with lead singer Nemcova pregnant with twins, Pulnoc began a 7
city national tour of the United States. The band dedicated each performance on this
tour to Magor. They performed new songs as well as Plastic People songs, marking the
first time in nearly 20 years that they were able to perform Plastic People music in
public without fear of arrest."
