The results are in!
For those of you who are not familiar, the Photo Lottery is a unique fundraiser that allows patrons who purchase a Photo Lottery ticket to take home a work of photo based art from our opening. A number on each ticket sold will correspond at random to one of at least 125 works of art on the wall at the reception. Everyone who buys a ticket is a winner. Everybody is invited to come to attend Photo Lottery free of charge, but only people who buy tickets will win photography. We do not sell more tickets than there are artworks. The past two events have been incredibly successful and made a meaningful impact on our ability to support and serve the artists and youth in our community. We look forward to 2007 being even better! 
When planning a fundraiser for the AS220 Darkroom we wanted to create an event that would first and foremost be fun for the artists who make the event happen with their donations, the patrons who win the artwork and everyone else who comes to see the show and be a part of the party. The event will showcase the work of a broad photographic community consisting of contemporary artists, youth photographers, photo journalists, commercial photographers and internationally acclaimed artists. The party itself brings together artists, collectors and the public to experience a fabulous one night art show that focuses on the diversity of work being done in the photographic medium today. So far this year we are thrilled to announce photos donated by Aaron Siskind, Henry Hornestein, Danny Lyon and Mona Kuhn.
