Booking A Show at AS220
In order to successfully carry out our mission statement, booking priority is given to Rhode Island artists.
AS220 aims to support original music.
No music licensed by ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC is allowed, unless you are the license holder. This means that all material performed at AS220 must be your original creation or must be in the public domain. Please see our definition of original work if you need further clarification. The FAQ for performers at AS220 also contains info about our original work policy and how it might affect your performance.
If you are not from Rhode Island, there are opportunities to share the evening’s bill with local musicians. If you are an out of state performer interested in playing on our stage, we recommend that you contact Rhode Island performers whom you have a relationship with about sharing a bill and ask them to submit a booking request to AS220. You might also try other venues in Providence that host events such as Roots Café, Lupo’s, Firehouse 13, Fête, etc.
Bookings are handled in the order that they are recieved. If you are offered a show but choose not to accept the available date(s) or cancel your slated appearance, you must submit a new booking request should you still wish to perform. Once you have scheduled a show, read our FAQ for performers at AS220. This three page document contains info on our original music policy, our sound equipment, night of show logistics, hospitality and guest lists, payment, and other important details.

Promotion
Once you have booked a show, you should promote your appearance at AS220 to ensure a good showing. Shows at 115 Empire are included on AS220′s online calendar and the monthly print calendar, so long as the booking is prior to production. We have created a reference list of some of the locations where you can put up your posters/flyers and various places you might send your music to help get the word out.
