AS220 Labs is a teaching space and community workspace for open hardware and software projects. AS220 Labs is physically located on the second floor of the Empire Street Complex as part of the Broad Street Studio space. Lab responsibilities include:

1. Build and maintain as220.org, with a focus on information design, back-end administration, and editorial guidance for the front page.
2. Organization-wide IT support: software and hardware help, planning and budgeting. The Lab is also responsible for in-house electronics repair and evaluation.
3. Training: in-house and community workshops, with a focus on developing literacy and technical skills in sound art, photography, video, and electronics.
4. Facilitate AIR projects of technology-oriented visiting artists, as needed.

Our logo (see above left) is a collage of Hans Arp's and Kurt Schwitter's Schnurrhut (Moustache Hat) and a 7440 Dual input NAND integrated circuit.
