AS220 relies on community volunteers through out the year to staff the door at events, install gallery shows, paint walls, help us manage every aspect of Foo Fest, and so much more. In return for your help with any one these tasks, we offer a month-long free admission pass to shows at the 115 Empire St Performance Space.*
Wanna join in and help out? Fill out and return our Volunteer Survey to tell us a bit about your skills and interests. Contact our volunteer coordinator Leigh Waldron-Taylor, let her know you are interested in lending a hand, and we will get in touch with you when an opportunity arises.
College students who are also active volunteers or are interested in volunteering 300 hrs over one year in areas related to education or human services might also look into their eligibility for Scholarships for Service (SFS) AmeriCorps positions available through Rhode Island Campus Compact. SFS members receive trainings and professional development opportunities, as well as a $1,175 Education Award at the end of their one-year term, which can be used toward tuition, qualified student loans, or educational expenses.
Dozens of AS220′s volunteers also call AS220 home! Tenants of AS220′s designated affordable housing contribute 4 hrs each month in support of the organization.
