B Sharp Music Presents: Panther Moderns, The Sour Notes, and Liz Isenberg
Never short on hooks or ambition, The Sour Notes play brittle pop for star-crossed post-grads. Frontman Jared Boulanger knows a good deal about transitional periods, having led two previous versions of the band, but its current incarnation--anchored by the vocal interplay between the sick-hearted Boulanger and his levelheaded female counterpoint, Kelly DeWitt--appears to be the one that'll stick. On rising tides of lonesome guitars and glimmering synths, the band patiently builds its post-millennial laments, making the occasional nod to Krautrock and frequent concessions to soundtrack-worthy mood. The band's bittersweet tones set the pace for this iteration of Future Sounds' monthly local showcase The Rumble (brought to you in part by The A.V. Club), which is also picked up in the C86 bliss of Literature and the romantic naïveté of Hollywood Gossip's Lucksmiths-esque jangle.

Tallahassee, Dastardly, The Silks, and It's A Mountain
Tallahassee is a 3 piece band. Guitar, banjo, and upright bass (and sometimes violin). Folk and country with some pop indie influences.
Dastardly is Americana music with just the right ratio of sticky - sweet to f*in s@*t up. Every note is deliberate and controlled, but jut barely masks an urgent and immediate sense of existential frantic terror that must be slowly driving them mad.
The Silks are a fresh folk blues project that consists of two guitars, bass, and drums. They strive to keep their music traditional while keeping an infectious attitude.
It's A Mountain is a 4 piece post rock jamband.

Player 2, Starring, White Savages, and Chasing Carmen
Player 2 is math rock and pop folk. Some songs are technically progressive odd meter nonsense.
Starring: Members of Pterodactyl, Skeletons, Talibam!, Nervous Cabaret, and the Fancy teamed up in 2009 to form Starring, an intense but unabashedly fun psych/prog band out of Brooklyn, NY. Released full-length "Wife of God" in June 2010 on Death by Audio Records.
White Savages are an experimental math rock punk band. Their songs are very dynamic, switching between chaos and ambience. Their performance is high energy.
Chasing Carmen is alternative rock music. High energy, fun, and a great band.

ACCO - The AS220 Criss Cross Orchestra
The AS220 Criss Cross Orchestra (also known as ACCO) will be performing every second Thursday of each month. They will lift your heart with its polyrhythmic, jumpy, musical style which is based in the traditional rhythms of Ghanaian West African music. The group is directed by Obuamah Laud Addy, an award winning West African Ghanaian musician and composer. He is joined by many of the finest West African and New England musicians and ensemble performers. Criss Cross music is currently performed in Europe and Africa; it is defined as a crossing or combination of powerful traditional native African, American, Caribbean, Cuban, Latin American and European musical styles, and includes some of the tonality, improvisations, and other musical dynamics found in Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, and Hip Hop. Per Artistic Director of AS220 Umberto Crenca, "ACCO is intended to demonstrate the compelling and powerful results of cross-cultural collaborations. What better way than through the creation of new music!"
