AS220 Mission
We, the citizens of Rhode Island, associate ourselves for the purpose of providing a local forum and home for the arts, through the maintenance of residential and work studios, galleries, performance and educational spaces. Exhibitions and performances in the forum will be unjuried, uncensored and open to the general public. Our facilities and services are made available to all artists who need a place to exhibit, perform, or create their original artwork, especially those who cannot obtain space to exhibit or perform from traditional sources because of financial or other limitations.

Go to Foo for Free if you are the First to Figure it out.

Here's another chance to win your free entrance to our August 15th Foo Fest street fair featuring Sun Ra's Arkestra, Lightning Bolt and tons more bands booked but TBA, art and games and beer and more In the AS220 tradition, its gonna be super duper cheap to get in, but still, its not gonna eat up your whole day to email me with your answers and get a free wristband, so why not?

This year at Foo we are going to have lots of kid and adult friendly stuff in the earlier part of the day. There will be some places you can make your own art or collaborate with other people to make things. One of those things, that you can make at Foo has a rich, international, but generally somewhat mysterious history.

In one country's celebration of Christmas, this item is traditionally shaped like a seven-pointed star representing the devil & the seven deadly sins; inside of the star are all the things that Satan is thought to be withholding; thats 99% symbolic--no ipods, old mustangs, rare books etc. are actually inside.

Know what it is? Email cheryl@as220.org with your guesses, first correct response wins.
