AS220 is proud to host an Andrew W.K. Special Solo Show as the 2011 Foo Fest headlining performance. Manhattan-based artist, Andrew W.K., the self-styled "King of Partying",
is a multi-faceted musician, performer, producer, film-maker, TV and radio personality, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and mischief-maker. After the 2001 release of the
controversial "I Get Wet" LP, which reached #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers' list; Andrew was quickly recognized as a powerful performer, talented musician and exhilarating personality.
In 2009, Rhapsody confirmed the album's lasting appeal when they named "I Get Wet" the #2 Rock Album of the Decade. Andrew has since released many more albums, videos, a DVD, and has
expanded his work to include TV shows on MTV and VH1, a long-standing monthly advice column in Japan and a series of motivational speaking engagements that has included such prestigious
institutions as: Harvard, Yale, NYU, UCLA, Northeastern, and Carnegie Mellon. Andrew WK is the current host of Cartoon Network’s "Destroy, Build Destroy" which is currently enjoying
its second season and over 1.7 million viewers weekly; and he isn't new to TV with a former MTV2 series "Your Friend, Andrew W.K" and more shows currently in development.
Despite his numerous and diverse pursuits, Andrew W.K. has continued to advance his musical career and even found time to produce recordings for other artists, including the Grammy nominated album Repentance by reggae legend, Lee "Scratch" Perry. In 2009, Andrew started his own record label, Skyscraper Music Maker, later renamed Steev Mike. Among the artist's most memorable offerings was the September 2009 release of two highly experimental albums, "Gundam Rock" (Universal Music Japan), a Japan-only release celebrating 30 years of the Gundam anime series with English-language rock covers, and "55 Cadillac" (Skyscraper Music Maker/Estatic Peace), a collection of instrumental piano improvisations. Andrew is currently recording a new rock 'n' roll album and has a book in the works for the coming year. Andrew W.K. is infamous for a bloody nose, famous for his high-life attitude and beloved for his songs; for all this and more he's enjoyed media attention and some well-deserved recognition. In March 2007, Andrew's inspirational speaking appearances landed him a front page feature with the The New York Times Arts Section. The following year, Andrew's role as self-help guru led to his second appearance on Late Night With Conan O'Brien. In November 2008, the artist's charisma moved Time magazine to declare him "truly cute." Andrew has been interviewed by Bill Maher, performed on Saturday Night Live and Top of the Pops, toured with Ozzfest and the Warped Tour, and appeared over a half dozen times on the BBC's UK 40 and American Billboard charts. Andrew has had, and continues to have, a wide-ranging impact on mainstream and underground culture alike.

Roseman from Trinidad, and the Irish penny whistle, along with the trumpet, saxophone, bass,
guitar, percussion, and vocals. The AS220 CrissCross Orchestra is a dance band, with a variety of
global sounds and a contagious energy! The group performs concerts and several members of the

Amil Byleckie Band was formed out of a terrifying near-death convergence of weird thinking. This
super group - and don't take that lightly; they are in fact super - arose from the darkness of the
spring of 2010, combining forces like Mega Voltron, to support the ego-maniacal pop manifestations
of Amil "The Band" Byleckie. On bass guitar, local hand model and lord of delusion Cordey "Licks"
Lopez holds down the low-end rhythm of lonely, forgotten hearts; on his home-made keytar, mad
inventor and government-recognized wild man JD "Fingers" Fontanella shreds brains into another
dimension of hyper reality; and Diego "Skins" Perez, formerly known as Bilbo Baggins in a past life,
pounds the drums to the beat of eternity. Together these spandex clad heartthrobs are ready to
dominate your basement show, house party, or bedroom wall for a night of unforgettable, feverish
sweating and dancing that will last until your heart explodes.

Providence, Rhode Island's The Brother Kite began crafting their shoegaze-inflected rock sound in
2001, when founding members Patrick Boutwell and Jon Downs began writing and recording
original material as a duo. Bassist Andrea Mason and guitarist Mark Howard joined them in 2002, and
the band released a split 7" record with friends Vaguely Starshaped on Boston's Losing Blueprint
Records in 2003. The Brother Kite then released their first full length album on Clairecords,
"thebrotherkite" (2004), a self-titled and self-recorded serving of layered guitars and buoyant
melodies. Their ambitious debut earned them nationwide attention from critics and music fans alike.
They soon enlisted Matt Rozzero as full-time drummer, and relentlessly toured the east coast,
gaining new fans at every show and further refining their unique sound. The band then constructed
their Beaten Path studio in Mason, New Hampshire and recorded their second LP for Clairecords,
"Waiting For The Time To Be Right" (2006). With that release, the band dialed back the "shoegaze"
element of their first album, and explored Brian Wilson-esque harmonies and refined classic pop
structures. The album greatly widened their fan base, garnered a bevy of critical acclaim, and was
considered by many to be one of the finest records that year. This was followed by 2007's "Moonlit
Race EP", 2008's spit 7" with Boston band Plumerai, and the bands newest album, "Isolation".
Released on September 28th, "Isolation" (recorded at their Beaten Path studio, and mixed with Thom
Monahan at the Hanger in Sacramento, CA) deconstructed their signature dense wall-of-sound into
contrasting textures, while adding new instrumentation in the form of synthesizers and sparse drum
machine tracks. While touring in support of "Isolation", the band began performing "Aching Heart", a
song that quickly became a crowd favorite. They decided to surprise their fans and quickly record
and self-release the song on a double a- side 7" called "Aching Heart, Clear Conscience". With a
healthy serving of vocal harmonies and throbbing drums on one side, and a stark and intimate
offering on the other, "Aching Heart, Clear Conscience" is another typical release from these
Ocean-Staters in that it's not what you expect, but it satisfies all the same.

Idiot Vehicle is more of an Olds Cutlass, taking 70's and 80's Rock/Punk, put it through a soul
still, pour it into a cast iron pot, cook it to taste and lay it all on the table. You may like it,
or you might not. We hope you love it, as we do, because it is real. So, slay or be slayed. Shred
or be shredded. Pound or be pummeled.
The first thing people say when hearing of Manni HeadPhonez is "Where are your headphones?". Headphones are

applause after each and every one of them. He has also collaborated with local artists, Ozzmatic,
` Hugo Boss, Jay Bonikz, K-Wise, and Fam Marvel to create the supergroup "The Suspectz" creating new
material and performing shows together all over Rhode Island. With the mind of a entrepreneur, the
heart of an artist, and the eyes of a star, Manni HeadPhonez will soon prove he is not just the

Formed less than a year ago, The Silks have burst onto the country blues scene in New England with
ferocity and enthusiasm. Front-man and songwriter Tyler James Kelly has managed to assemble a cast
of musicians with resumes consisting of The Midnight Creeps, Brown Bird, Cowgirl, and The Sugar
Honey Iced Tea, and blending it into a sound that is all their own. With compliments that vary from
drawing comparisons to The Rolling Stones in style and songwriting to a soundman shouting "that's
the most fun I've ever had!" after a show, The Silks have garnered a reputation as a band that
everyone found themselves wanting to see overnight.

Tallahassee is with out a doubt the only band fronted by a former NFL offensive lineman who gave up
that life to pursue music. They merge Indie, Rock, and Americana, to create delicately arranged
songs of place and introspection. The band blends traditional banjo, upright bass, and vintage
acoustic guitars with driving electric rock instruments to deliver a raw and powerful performance.
Tallahassee brings together familiar feelings of home and comfort to the listener with an edge and
sound that is all their own.
It's more than music. It's a Movement! Socially Conscious Hip-Hop Band that performs great music with a message.
These Synth Rock lumberjacks harvest a legendary "forest of triangle waves" into hard-hitting dance
rock jams from saw-tooth logs and kick drum 4x4's. There are no sequencers used in this robo-rock
mill factory: only human sequencers who pound out beats and generate machine-precision leads on
synthesizers, electronic drums, Vocoders, and plastic guitars.
Mark Roberts & Andrea Cooper with the help of a few friends will be playing for a participatory

guitar, fiddle and banjo.
The band has been described as: Instrumental music, Crime Jazz, Elevator-Surf, or Lounge-Core.
