Lapham's lush black-and-white photographs of watery natural landscapes come alive in conversation with his sculptural "snapshots" of the shoreline. The work demonstrates his keen eye for unexpected beauty, so apparent in his ravishing portraits of decaying Rhode Island industrial settings. In the Sea Song images and sculptures, Lapham explores the nature -- untouched and otherwise.
