GREGORY McKILLOP

Punk ethics but too polite to be a punk
Folk
but not old school enough to be folkie
Too afraid of ego to be a rock-star
Off the cuff and rough unintentionally,
but intentional.
Loves to sing about things and for people.
Queer and in Love.

Live Bait: Cracks, Holes and Openings @ 95 Empire Black Box
Dec 5 @ 10:00 pm – 11:45 pm

Cracks, Holes and Openings

The folks at Live Bait are at a loss for a pithy way to present December’s show and theme. As such, the normal press release format shall be dispensed with and the pith left to others. Presenting a few thematically appropriate quotes to share with friends:

“There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.”

- Leonard Cohen

“What happens to the hole when the cheese is gone?”

- Bertolt Brecht

“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”

- David Richio

If anyone has a true-life story that in any way, shape or form fits December’s theme, “Cracks, Holes and Openings,” they merely have to come to Live Bait, put their name in the fishbowl and, when their name is called, come up and tell it. No notes, no rants, no stand-up routines, and there is a six minute time limit. Of course, all are more than welcome to simply sit back and listen. Live Bait is hosted by Phil “The Host” Goldman, with banter, musical accompaniment and monthly theme song by Jerry “The Professor” Gregoire.
