Arkham Film Society Presents: “Revenge is Her Middle Name” with Anthony Matthews @ Empire Black Box
8:00 pm
Kat (Lissa Brennan), a drug addicted prostitute, has hit rock bottom. In a desperate attempt to turn her life around, she plans a reckless heist with hopes of scoring the money she needs to leave her street life behind. When things spiral out of control, she is confronted by a drug dealing pimp known as Mutton Chop (Douglas Bell). Hellbent on vengeance, the sadistic pimp orders a brutal attack on Kat. Now all she wants is Revenge… And it is her turn to collect!”
This project is the brainchild of New Zealander Anthony Matthews, who serves as writer and director of the film. With a lifetime of horror, cult, and exploitation films pumping through his veins, he is aiming to make a film that has the touch of ’70s and ’80s era exploitation cinema. On board for the project are modern FX gorehound Jerami Cruise from TOETAG EFX and director of photography Thomas Rumpf, with Aziza, Vinny Rixon, and Bryan Truex rounding out the Fort Street Entertainment crew.
