I make art because I enjoy observing things and then expressing these things through different mediums, whether it be photography, sewing, or screen-printing. There is such room for creativity and innovation in art. Then there’s the ability it has to bring so many people together, and what can be done when people collaborate through it. It’s always as exciting to see other artist’s work as it is to see your very own. Although some of my work expresses experiences in my life, a lot of my art work in general is spontaneous. Many of my project ideas come from random observation made either while walking or just sitting down somewhere. And because of this I often in vision projects long before they’re even close to being started. The toughest part is keeping track of all these ideas. The infinite amount of things that catch our eye make it so easy for us to overlook the smaller details that really tie everything together. And in some my work, I try to capture these things.
