Performance Program Update

BSS Mixtape

So the BSS Mixtape is in the making. Eight more songs/ tracks are needed before its completion. If you sing, rap, spit poetry or make beats, we need your help! Hit up Plan B to schedule a time to record your track or talk about what you would like to put on the mixtape. We have studio slots on Mondays and Tuesday between 3:00pm and 7:00pm.

Performance Program DVD

Another project we have been working on is a performance program DVD. This 5 minute promtional tool will have clips of every workshop that our Performance Program offers at BSS and also exclusive footage from Elementary Showcase, our monthly hip hop open mic. If you wold like to get involoved in the making of this DVD, hit up either Anjel or Plan B.

Elementary Showcase

So the last Elementary Showcase was dope! We had amazng performances by G-Hearder, KIT, RIP, Artablaze and also the break dancers from upstairs. For the next Elementary Showcase, which is happening on April 9th from 5:30pm- 9:30pm, we need a ton of promotion. Every Friday from 3:30-5:30pm, street team goes out into the community to pass out flyers and also get everyone exicted about the open mic. If you are interested in learning a thing or two about promtions or would like to help out, please contact Anjel.

Performance Program Fundraiser

On May 16, 2009 from 9:00pm - 12:30am, we will be holding our first Peformance Program Fundraiser of the year. There will be performances by Mary Bee, Chachi, WHO DEM?, KIT, Inkwell and other BSS youth from our performance workshops. If you would like to get involved with the creation of this event, you are more than welcome to attend our weekly fundraiser meetings that will be happening every Thursday at 3:00pm in the Delgado Studio.

New Stuff

YES!!! Our new computers are finally set up which means the pre-production room is on and poppin! Big UPS to G-Tech for blessing us with this new totally cool equiptment.

If you would like to get more involved with the Performance Program at BSS, feel free to pop in our weekly performance meeting that happens every Wednesday at BSS from 4:00pm-5:00pm.
