Addalessons is a hip-hop performance written and performed by the young artists of the AS220 Broad Street Studio Rhode Show that shares a fictional story of a young artist going through a not-so-typical day. The performance follows our main character from the moment (s)he awakens until (s)he goes to sleep examining how (s)he relies on artistic expression to help process the events of the day.

Using backdrops, props and lightning, Addalessons will emphasize on transforming Providence parks into a community theater. The purpose of this project is to bring theater to the doorstep of Providence's communities who otherwise lack access to the art form. By utilizing city parks and recreational facilities as venues, this project will also broaden and deepen community awareness about the resources available to them through the Department of Parks and Recreation as well as the Department of Art, Culture and Tourism.
The Rhode Show is an anti-corporate performance youth troupe representing AS220 Broad Street Studio. Their goal is to equip Rhode Island youth with the tools and information to make responsible decisions of their own and to expose the dopeness, freshness, and empowerment of art.
