AS220, all summed up: Video courtesy of former 3rd Floor Resident Erin Sisk. Wed, 27 Sep 2006 The Original AS220 Manifesto!
Here's a little known fact: Indeed, we may appear to have a renovated appearance, which may induce the notion that we are a "new" space, but the truth is that AS220 has been around longer than coffeemilk and Del's lemonade. Well, ok, maybe not that long, but let's just say we're old enough to drink. Legally.
Did you also know that this whole mess started with just a manifesto and $800? You could say a lot has changed since those lawless days, but the ideals of this manifesto (written in 1982 by Umberto Crenca, Steven Emma and Martha Dempster) still ring true. Read on for the complete text: [The earliest known copy of this manifesto ran in the Providence Eagle on April 14, 1982. It was reprinted or referenced in many other local papers around that time.] Fri, 12 Sep 2003 Wayback machine and such Visit past AS220 webpages via the Wayback Machine. On Saturday May 17, 2003, AS220 will host its 9th Annual Fools Ball.
Fools Ball #9 promises to be better than ever. We will not only be using
our building at 115 Empire Street but, thanks to Trinity's generosity,
we will be partying double at the Citizens Bank building just up the
street. It's a Double House Party and the theme this year is Babylon!
It's sure to bring out the sin in even the most straight laced. This
event has become the party of the year.
Action Speaks 2002

evenings in October and November from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Each Action Speaks
urban dialogue will be taped for broadcast the following Sunday on

an important component of the experience. Admission is free.
