The Fabratory equips students with technical and analytical skills that have real world applications. The program offers skill-building workshops focused on computer literacy, graphic design, industrial design, and 3D modeling. Students with The Fabratory utilize the tools of AS220′s Fab Lab (fabrication laboratory), part of an international network of around 4 dozen Fab Labs, small-scale workshops housing an array of computer controlled tools aim to empower users to make “almost anything”.  AS220 Fab Lab tools include: Epilog Legend Mini 24 laser cutter, Roland Cam-1 vinyl cutter, Roland Modela MDX-20 milling machine, MakerBot Cupcake CNC and Thing-O-Matic 3D printers, computer stations running Mac OS X, Gentoo Linux, and Ubuntu, soldering irons, components and resistors, wires, stepper motors, Arduinos, and more.
