After meeting at Boston University, Gary Suarez (vocals, lyrics,
programming) and Luis Brito (keyboards, programming, vocoder)
decided to collaborate and start creating music together under the
moniker Gasr (electro-industrial project whose name is derived from
the misspelling of Gary's name).
Nau-Zee-auN is the self indulgent side project of Deftly-D (Zero Times Infinity,
Hawaiian Shirt Mafia, Dominion, etc.). Started in 1995 Nau-Zee-auN has appeared
on several compilations on Third Wheel Media, Voidstar Productions, and
Sound4200AD, has collaborated with artists ranging including Zipperspy, Skin
Crime and Plastic Razor Protector, and is currently working on the debut cd 'the
First Loud Useless Sound Heard.' Past performances have delivered power
electronics, power noise, dark ambiance, turntablism, performance art,
percussion, dark psychedelic lounge music, amplified electric shavers, and raw
beats. Although the delivery of Nau-Zee-auN performances are unpredicable, one
thing is certain. You'll always get a memorable show.
a typical carrier81 live set, when accompanied by the attentive
listener, will more likely flow from electro to minimal techno/drum.n.bass to
hard ambient sonic experiments. Reported side effects to carrier81 exposure
include (but are not exclusively confined to) motor motion lock-up, feelings of
betrayal, profound excitement, agitation, unexplainable voices, physical and
mental disorientation, loose bowels, flashes of obese turtles. A carrier81 set is not
recommended for casual usage.
basque combines the airy flyweight voice of maryasque (Sinead meets bjork
meets enya) with the at times ultra low-end pulses and sweeps of bass and
other guitars. they will take you to a place of red and yellow sunsets with
inscence and candles somewhere far from where you are.
