Every first Friday of every month, Live Bait sidekick and musical director Jerry Gregoire (AKA “The Professor”) has been writing and performing touching, funny, thought-provoking and always original songs based on each show’s theme. Over the last four years, he has built up quite the repertoire and now, due to popular demand, he will be sharing some of those songs, in a show of his own on Friday, October 19, 9:00pm at The Performance Space at AS220. Expect The Professor, AND HIS NEW BAND, to be performing such Live Bait favorites as “Do Over,” “Dog Days,” “How Could You Go Wrong?” and many others.
And as if that weren’t enough Live Bait entertainment for one night, in the very same space, at 7:30pm (doors open at 7:00pm), there will be a return engagement of Live Bait: Ready or Not. This will be a reverse Live Bait, if you will. In this show, themes, not names, will be picked out of the fishbowl. If there’s a particular theme picked that tickles anybody’s fancy and/or reminds them of a story, they can yell, “I got it!” then come up on the stage and tell it. As always, there will a six minute time limit. And as always, it will be hosted by Phil Goldman with musical accompaniment and off-hand comments by Jerry Gregoire.
If you come just for the stories, it will be $7.00 at the door. If you come just for the music, it will be $7.00 at the door. If you come for both, you only have to pay $7.00 once, at the door.
