From April 6th to April 15th AS220's Fools Week will serve up its smorgasbord of art, music and performance on Empire Street with eight nights of special events and the first AS220 Fools Ball Parade through downtown Providence. Fools Week gets bigger every year, and attendees will be treated to the work of over 150 Rhode Island artists.

Goldstar Invitational Showcase
    The Gold Star is fast becoming an AS220 legend, wherein curators Geoff Griffin and Sheri Van Antwerp invite the AS220 community to put together ten minute performances of things they don't normally do onstage. The result range from the profound to the profoundly stupid, but it is always entertaining, and hey, you can stand anything for ten minutes.

Fools Ball Three Story House Party
    This is the only evening of the year when the entire building is thrown open to the public, and revelers will be able to explore artists' studios, play games of chance and skill to win hand-crafted clay birds, take in the AS220 Residents Show and Neil Salley's astonishing Portal: A Time Machine installation and enjoy three stages' worth of continous music from artists including The Smoking Jackets, Erin McKeown, The Neo-'90s Dance Band, The Eyesores and The Panic Band.
