AS220 Mission
We, the citizens of Rhode Island, associate ourselves for the purpose of providing a local forum and home for the arts, through the maintenance of residential and work studios, galleries, performance and educational spaces. Exhibitions and performances in the forum will be unjuried, uncensored and open to the general public. Our facilities and services are made available to all artists who need a place to exhibit, perform, or create their original artwork, especially those who cannot obtain space to exhibit or perform from traditional sources because of financial or other limitations.

Foo Fest 2006

Thanks to everyone to came out to enjoy and participate in the Foo Fest on July 15, 2006! We hope everyone had an awesome time. We sure did. And to remind us of all the fun we had, we put together a massive Flickr set that will surely re-animate the day. Feel free to send us your images, videos, concerns or questions. Or, check out some videos and stuff that we've already compiled. See you next year!

It's On!... and It's Free!

The Foo Fest celebrates the spirit of Providence's creative community with a free admission, 'round the clock (well, almost) block party! Empire Street fills up with a variety of live music and performances from around the world, plus creative games, locally-grown food yumminess, and all types of fun for all types of people!

The Foo Fest follows in the same block-rockin tradition of the Fools Ball and last year's 20 Fest, an event that celebrated our 20th anniversary as an unjuried and uncensored forum for the arts. Look out for Foo next year!
