Though one of the younger artists on the Cozy Music roster, Ian has already got one colorful career behind him: as an MC, he has opened for Dead Prez and Mos Def. Now Ian focuses his talents on being an electronic music producer and turntablist. His music is focused on genre-blending, drawing on his love of hip-hop and his training as a jazz pianist and guitarist; but Ian also strives to create a cinematic sound, an environment that lulls the listener in with something of the familiar , the reassuring, and then holds the listener’s interest with strange hooks, eerie sounds, and a trance-inducing vibe. A perfectionist, Ian is relentlessly pushing himself to bring something newer and truer to the audience.
